The Golf 5 GTI is popular in the tuning scene, but the standard K03 turbo leaves a lot to be desired at just over 270 hp. More than 270 hp are hardly possible. Yes, the TurboZentrum has a solution. Namely the K04 turbocharger from the later Golf 6R, which already delivers over 270 hp ex works. This is done using Stage 2 optimized and then brings the Golf 5 GTI to a maximum of 420 hp. A K04 turbo kit for EA113 transverse engines such as in the Golf 5 GTI, the A3 8P, the Leon 1P FR and Co. The K04 upgrade kit contains all the necessary components for the turbocharger for easy and high-quality installation. In order to achieve the performance, however, other engine components must also be strengthened. That should be clear! Components in and on the engine, such as the high-pressure pump, the exhaust, pistons and connecting rods or the intercooler, must be revised/replaced for the increased performance.

The Stage 2 optimization differs from the Stage 1 optimization by a larger compressor wheel that the TurboCenter can mill individually. Thanks to the ability to individually mill the compressor wheels, full power delivery, quick response and impressive top-end performance can be achieved with the K04 turbocharger. This not only achieves significantly higher performance, but also reduces the load on the turbocharger. The compressor housing is also modified and reinforced bearings ensure longer durability and a lower speed for the stock turbocharger air mass. The upgrade is perfect for those who are looking for a comprehensive performance increase and are not just satisfied with the basics.
