Widebody Mercedes SL55 AMG (R230) from Three S Design

Widebody Mercedes SL55 AMG (R230) from Three S Design

With the SR66.1 design or the FL Exclusive Carstyling We have already seen some elaborate conversions on the Mercedes SL of the R230 series. But the variant of the Japanese tuner Three S design easily tops all previous vehicles. If a fat SL is too narrow for you, the elaborate body kit of the tuner should be the best way to change this "flaw". The basis for this flashy copy in pink is a 2006 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG Roadster which, in addition to the factory 500 PS under the hood, and a conversion to facelift, brings a fat widebody kit and lots of other modifications. Even the announced SL of the new R232 series (is said to have up to 73 hp as AMG SL 800e) hide easily behind it. Owners of the older SL do not have to fear that the new one will steal the show.

Anyone who owns an R230 built between 2001 and 2008 can install the Japanese Three-S design kit on the SL. However, you have to live with the fact that the materials used are not high-quality carbon or at least a mix with carbon, but a lot of plastic. At least on the large components. Splinters, sill swords & Co., on the other hand, are definitely made of carbon. And the body is permanently destroyed because the fenders have to be cut out over a large area. The extremely wide rocket bunny style body kit includes flared fenders with exposed screw connections all around, there is also a completely new front apron including splitter and the rear apron with integrated diffuser including AMJapan exhaust system is of Japanese origin and anything but filigree. In addition, a mighty ducktail spoiler lip and an incredibly huge rear wing. Fortunately, the chip counter is "optional"!

Airrex air suspension & Haila HD-F03 rims

The pink exhibition vehicle that, by the way, had golden aluminum and a gray foil before the "renewed" conversion (Gallery see below), you have also equipped with a powerful lowering, which is of course achieved by Airrex air suspension. This takes you to the road in just a few seconds or, if you wish, to a mobile level. And all at the push of a button! The overkill should be the shrill wheelset in satin copper. Specifically, there are two-part 21 inch rims from the manufacturer Haila Wheels and specifically it is the type Haila HD-F03, which in combination with the long pink wheel nut cones and including tires only comes to the Stuttgart company for the price of a small car. The striking visual changes are rounded off with yellow facelift headlight glasses, a grille completely covered in black and the removed Mercedes emblem on the rear. If we receive timely information about further changes to the SL55 from Japan, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
