ZP Edition Jaguar E-Type Restomod as a victory homage!

In an unusual marketing strategy, Jaguar Classic has announced that it will exclusively supply the new E-Type Restomods from the E-Type ZP Collection pairs will sell. These vehicles pay loving homage to the legendary E-Types that won the first races, led by racers Graham Hill and Roy Salvadori. A particular highlight in Jaguar history as this marked the first victories for the E-Type, which took a total of 1961 podiums between 1964 and 24. The two ZP Collection vehicles are slightly modified versions inspired by the two E-Types that drove to victory in 1961 under the skills of Hill and Salvadori. One of the winning cars is known by its registration number ECD 400, which carried Hill to victory on the Oulton Park circuit.

In homage to the historic moment, the Restomod is finished in Oulton Blue and features exterior details inspired by the original winning vehicle. The restored ZP E-Type has classic charm as well as modernized features, including an electric fan and electronic ignition, which ensure greater reliability. It is also equipped with modern technology such as a DAB radio, a Bluetooth connection and a navigation system. Under the bonnet slumbers a 3,8-litre XK inline-six producing 265 hp (198 kW) through a five-speed all-synchronous manual gearbox designed for lighter shifts and a more relaxed drive.

Visually, however, the car stays true to its roots: from the chrome bumpers and wire-spoke wheels to the outer hood latches and hood louvers, it maintains the authentic 1961 look. The new Oulton Blue and Crystal Gray paintwork is reminiscent of the colors of the Hill/Salvadori race cars and the interior is enhanced by aluminum panels on the center console, which feature quotes and images. Engraved on the drophead is Hill's quote: "In a race, my car becomes a part of me and I become a part of it". Further details are the noble Bridge of Weir leather and a steering wheel made of beech wood.

there is even a helmet for every vehicle

Each car is also equipped with a helmet. Everoak crash helmets, handcrafted by Bill Vero, are modeled after the helmets worn by Hill and Salvadori in the past. Some of the exclusive vehicle pairs are still available, but the price is unknown. Jaguar announced there will be another ZP-inspired series of 14 vehicles later this year - seven convertibles and seven F-Type models.
