BMW S 1000 XR (2024): More power, comfort & features!

The year 2024 promises to be something very special for BMW fans. BMW has announced that... S 1000 XR will feature even more performance and a number of improvements. The crossover that is a perfect mix sports, touring and Enduro is, receives one Power increase of 5 hp, which means that the 1000 in-line four-cylinder is now tight 170 PS (125 kW) at 11.000 revolutions per minute. The increase was achieved through a flow-optimized geometry of the intake channels and a revised mapping for the electronic engine control. But the performance increase is just the beginning.

BMW has that too Shift Assistant Pro optimized and one new bench installed, which is intended to provide more comfort. With a seat height increased by 10 millimeters (now 850 mm) and a new contour, the seat not only brings more comfort, but also more freedom of movement for a sporty driving style. The driver can also choose between three different seat heights, depending on what best suits their stature. And when it comes to equipment, BMW hasn't skimped either. The S 1000 XR Model year 2024 comes standard with the headlamp pro with daytime running lights and adaptive cornering lights, the radio key system Keyless ride and a USB port.

And if you want, you can also use the XR with them M carbon wheels, M bench seat and the M-GPS lap trigger equip. The chassis remains largely unchanged, except for a newly tuned one strut. With a 20 liter petrol tank and the basic equipment, the S 1000 XR now brings 227 kg on the scales. Finally, BMW is also bringing three color variants for 2024: “Blackstorm metallic","Gravity blue metallic" and "Light white uni/motorsport“. With a starting price of 19.280 EUR It's even a little cheaper than last year's model. And yesterday BMW introduced the new S 1000 XR as well M1000XR before. With a price starting at EUR 25.900, it delivers a powerful 201 hp.

  • Optimized geometry of the inlet channels: contributes to increased engine performance.
  • Improved Shift Assistant Pro: for more precise gear changes.
  • New bench: Provides improved ergonomics and freedom of movement. The seat height is now 850mm, 10mm more than before.
  • Sporty rear area: with new side panels and motorsport air inlets.
  • Battery upgrade: from 9 Ah on 12 Ah.
  • M carbon wheels: as special equipment or original BMW Motorrad accessories.
  • Keyless ride: standard.
  • USB charging port: standard.
  • Headlight Pro with adaptive cornering lights: standard.
  • ecall: now also for the US market.
  • M GPS lap trigger: optional.
  • New color options: Blackstorm metallic, Gravityblue metallic and Lightwhite uni/Motorsport.
  • Optimized suspension strut set-up: For more sensitive response and increased driving comfort.
  • New design for handlebar clamp and “beak”: The front “beak” is now painted in the respective body color.
  • radiator Cover: with a new, grained surface structure.
