Then here is a tutorial on how to turn a boring steel rim into a real eye-catcher. That the rim of course in public traffic not is allowed to use, of course. At least in this country ... The guys from Garage 54 but that does not bother Russia very much. They show in the 9-minute clip like a steel rim with the help of a few flat iron to the Alurad in Vossen CV3-R Optics mutated. By the way, the finished wheel will be installed again on the Mercedes-Benz 190E, which was also on the road with the Plexiglas variant. A normal steel rim in black with five large spokes was used. The spokes retain the original metal surface (polished) and only the rim base is painted in black using a spray can. And the do-it-yourself bike even made it onto the wheel balancer. And the fact that the machine does not capitulate speaks for how precisely the conversion was carried out. Quite impressive, but still verboten and most dangerous, Finally, it was not tested in the beginning what this rim can withstand under heavy loads. But Garage 54 only wants to show that it is possible to create a visually appealing wheel design from a steel rim.
