Not to be forgotten - Borbet alloy wheels then & today

For decades, they have been an integral part of the wheel rim scene - Borbet alloy wheels. In my time it was particularly the Borbet R15, A R15 or the Borbet T rims that were driven on VW Golf 3/4, Opel Astra F or Ford Focus. Currently there are designs like the FF1, the GTX or the Type V that are installed from the Volvo V90 to the new Audi A4. BORBET has always stood for the highest quality, innovative technologies and especially - for a pioneering design, The focus and aspiration of Borbet has always been to pair reliable safety with maximum stability and an optimal driving experience. Each rim is therefore produced with as little total weight as possible because the performance of a car also depends on the aluminum rim. The lower the unsprung mass of a rim, the more genuine the driving experience and, incidentally, the fuel consumption is reduced and the performance of the vehicle is improved.

Who would have thought what all depends on a rim! So the credo is: "As much as necessary to guarantee unconditional safety and as little as possible to perfectly inspire the dynamics of a bike". Another highlight of the Borbet product range is the fact that a special vehicle like the current one Toyota Hilux for example, can be equipped with the particularly stable CWE. On request, even a camper or van such as the Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer etc. can be modified with Borbet rims because there is, for example, the extremely load-bearing Borbet CWG that can lift 1.600kg including the AWE without flinching.

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
