Drive non-stop almost all over Germany – from Hamburg to Munich. What only a few diesel cars can boast of so far is no longer a utopia with electric cars. This is made possible by REPT BATTERO, one of the largest Chinese battery storage manufacturers, which has now opened its first European branch in Munich.

Chairman Dr. Hui Cao: “The establishment of our European headquarters represents a crucial milestone on the path to globalization.”

“Wending” is the name of the technology, which promises particularly long ranges, a very long service life, cost advantages and increased safety. The latter is due to the more compact structure, which increases the battery's resistance to shock and vibration. Due to the special structure of their battery cells, the space is used more effectively, which leads to a significantly higher energy density for the same size.

The energy storage systems feature a dual chemical system that is suitable for both lithium ferrophosphate (LFP, up to 700 km range) and ternary lithium batteries (over 1000 km range).
Three European manufacturers have already secured the innovative technology: Stellantis, Smart and, from 2024, Volvo.

Battery models with 158 Ah and 200 Ah are available. The “Wending” 450 pack has an energy content of 70 kWh and a range of over 600 kilometers. The overall costs can be reduced by up to 15%. The “Wending” 650 pack (200 Ah battery cells) achieves an energy content of 110 kWh, enabling ranges of over 700 km.

REPT BATTERO also offers scalable energy storage systems for industry. Since its founding five years ago, around 600.000 households have been supplied with green, clean energy, helping to reduce carbon emissions by 7,5 million tonnes. Batteries have also been installed in more than 300.000 vehicles, saving a total of more than 130.000 tons of carbon emissions.

And the next dimension has already been reached with the new 320 Ah and 340 Ah energy storage series for large-scale storage for energy companies. These batteries allow a lifespan of 8000 to 10000 cycles and over 20 years. They will hit the market in the third quarter of 2023.
TÜV-Rheinland has already certified the battery storage system (for the standards IEC 62619, UL 1973 and UL 9540). This means that the technology also meets international standards in terms of safety performance.

There are already supply cooperation agreements with seven international companies. These include the US company Energy Vault Inc., with which a strategic partnership was concluded in May. REPT BATTERO provides Vault with a 10 GWh system of liquid-cooled energy storage batteries. Tailor-made short- and long-term energy storage solutions can significantly reduce energy costs for utilities, independent power producers and large industrial energy consumers while maintaining reliable power supply.
