The chassis can also be used to lower the rear axle significantly for easier loading. All in all, the air suspension allows a 115 mm difference at the push of a button. But optically it all looks a bit too conservative - especially with the 23 inch ABT alloy wheels. But now there is the option of lowering the vehicle using software. By means of Abt Level Control for the Q8 there is a selective lowering in the Q8. The ALC only affects the selected driving modes. Comfort / auto, dynamic and loading levels change. Comfort / Auto is lowered by 25 mm, the dynamic mode is 15 mm lower and the off-road / all-road mode and the lift function remain unaffected. As a nice gimmick there is the Abt Coffee Mode. We like it best and lower the front and rear by a full 65mm.
