BMW M6 V10 from JMS Fahrzeugtechnik: Back in Black!

With the design of its vehicles, BMW has often polarized its own fan base in the recent past. Regardless of whether G11 / G12 7 series, G80/G82 M3 & M4 or the one presented in concept car form XM. The latter undoubtedly represented the temporary highlight last winter, but will apparently soon be replaced by the new 7 Series (G70) and the i7 with "Split Headlights 3.0". These are horizontally split headlights that seem to be THE trend in automotive design right now. In contrast, the design of the BMW 6 Series of the second model generation E63 is almost harmless. And that despite the fact that it led to no less heated discussions at the time, together with the 7 Series, both of which were created under the aegis of then-Chief Designer Chris Bangle and unveiled two years earlier. The 6 Series, which was available as a coupe and convertible, now has its followers, especially in the tuning scene.

BMW M6 V10 by JMS

The specimen from the pictures of the M6 series top model received a clear customization from the Swabian specialists from JMS Fahrzeugteile. The M6 stands up three-piece CC-Line rims in 9,5×21 and 10,5×21 inches from Schmidt. The mounted tires have the dimensions 255/30ZR21 and 295/25ZR21. While the very deep beds on the wide rims are polished to a high gloss, the multi-spoke stars have a black finish. This goes perfectly with the equally black finish of the M6, which also Grille kidneys includes. Even the windows are dark tinted. A KW Variant 3 coilover suspension also ensures the perfect alignment of the wheelset under the fenders. The new chassis lowers the body by 45 millimeters at the front and 35 millimeters at the rear. And while we're on the subject of the body: Even in the standard version, it appears sporty and dynamic, but here it was given a Front spoiler and one rear spoiler an even more striking look.

with Hamann/Supersprint exhaust system

Both the front spoiler and the counterpart on the trunk lid come from the range of the BMW specialists at Hamann Motorsport. The project is rounded off by an even richer and more sensational sound using a high-quality Hamann/Supersprint sports exhaust system. The unforgettable, famous five-liter unit with its 507 hp and 520 Nm has remained basically unchanged. Since the engine is not supercharged by means of a turbocharger or compressor, a performance increase extremely complex. Because the key data in terms of acceleration are still convincing today (4,6 seconds to 100, top speed optionally 305 km/h), this is not necessary at all, in our opinion. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
