After we received a cooperation from ECD & ECC with regard to the Defender "E-Lander" with 600 HP Tesla drive have reported, another electric mod is now coming from the tuner in England. And indeed it is a Range Rover Classic (1970–1996) by ECD Automotive Design E-drive has been converted. According to ECD, the electrical conversion of this vehicle is the first that the company has completed with its cooperation partner ECC. That clashes a little with our "E-Lander" report linked at the beginning, but well, let's leave that as it is. Let's get to the vehicle. This reinterpreted Range Rover Classic is due to the Tesla electric drive able in only 5,2 seconds on 100 kilometers per hour to accelerate. That is more than just impressive compared to the series with 3,5-liter V8 engine or the other available engines from back then. The specialists from are again available to implement the conversion Electric Classic Cars (ECC) brought on board to get to the drive train.
ECD & ECC = E-Swap vehicles
There is a high probability that this cooperation will also work for all other electric vehicles on the part of the ECD. And the complete conversion of the vehicle supposedly took a long time 2.200 working hours. The visual changes and the new cabin are included. Tom Humble, founder of ECD: "It was important to us to expand our offer to the electronics market". "After we have completed this Electric Range Rover Classic, we will continue to innovate and electrify Defender vehicles and other Land Rovers".
So the direction of travel is clearly on E-drive designed. And if all the vehicles look as good as this one, then we have no problem at all. Because of the extremely extensive modifications, the Classic Range Rover is still immediately recognizable as such. It has the classic Range Rover look not verloren.
inside with a state-of-the-art audio system
As always, the vehicle was completely disassembled and from the ground up restauriert and then into a white paint wrapped. And of course the conversion went beyond the drive train. The vehicle received the familiar modifications from ECD in the form of a state-of-the-art audio system, there was an integrated Navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and even one Backup camera is built in. In addition, the team has a new light brown one Leather seats and new Interior accents built from dark precious wood. And there's even a chilled one in the back Drinks compartment. On the outside, the alpine white paintwork harmonizes with the many black accents (Radiator grille, window frames, exterior mirrors, side skirts, aprons, etc.) and the electric mod stands up for this 18 inch large Land Rover Boost 5 rims in silver.
100 kWh battery and 450 PS electric motor
As for the powertrain, the Range Rover Classic now has one 100-kWh battery installed in combination with a 450 HP electric motor. The vehicle has an estimated range of 220 miles (equivalent to about 360 km) and those already mentioned 5,2 seconds at country road speed are easily on the level of a current well-motorized SUV. And finally ... Cool thing! If we get more information about the changes to the E-Range, there is of course an update for this report.
