It's been over two years since Zero Labs Automotive launched its E tag based on the classic Ford Bronco from the 1960s. Since then, the Californian start-up has been able to convert the old Bronco into an electrified vehicle for a whopping $185.000 (approx. €174.000). And now there's an upgrade. And the upgrade is at the stand of AutelEnergy at this year's CES 2023 and costs a whopping $350.000 (approx. €330.000). However, exceptionally, the price increase is not due to inflation. Among other things, it is the new technology that makes the classic with electric drive so expensive. Because the previous 70 kWh lithium-ion battery has been replaced by a 100 kWh package with 400 volt technology, which increases the range from a moderate 350 km to a barely better 378 km. The new system can also use DC Level 3 fast charge to be charged.

But much more has happened. For example, the body is now made entirely of carbon, which makes the classic much lighter. Surprisingly, nothing has changed on the Dual Motor with All-Wheel Drive system. However, that is not necessary either. After all, an insane 600 hp provide propulsion. The chassis has also only been slightly improved and, as you would expect, differs completely from the series counterpart. It was designed to have independent front and rear suspension and you can order either an adjustable Fox Racingcoilover or a Premium Airride Select. The driving behavior is significantly better and also much more comfortable. Speaking of comfort: The electric Bronco is also equipped with many modern touches!

New in Bronco fully digital displays, a multimedia system, a start button and even the tailgate can now be unlocked at the push of a button. And of course the interior has also been completely revised. The interior is handcrafted and you can choose between premium aerospace-grade leather and animal-free, vegan interiors.
