One more track extreme but is definitely the "DD2.JZ" called BMW Z4 from tuner Dotz. The rim label showed the completed project car for the first time at the auto show in Essen and caused a lot of stir. Because in addition to an exorbitantly brutal look, there was a completely new engine for the Munich. And here one has without further ado with an accident Toyota Supra MK IV (Fast-and-Furious-Supra) operated and stuffed the legendary 2JZ GTE three-liter straight-six engine into the Z4.

And the 90s Nippon sports car unit is anything but standard. The conversion delivers an unbelievable 608 PS & 720 Nm torque and thus brings the rear wheels to desperation in almost each of the 6 gears of the manual Getrag transmission. But more power of a huge 278 PS and 279 Nm cannot be achieved just by means of chip tuning. Dotz installed two Garrett GTX 4088R turbochargers, plus a new exhaust manifold, a large intercooler and a specially made 4-inch exhaust system including a downpipe. And so that the thirst of the engine can be quenched, there was a new fuel system and of course a modified engine control.

At 1,5 bar boost pressure, the DOTZ-Z4 sends over 600 hp, as already mentioned, to the rear wheels. And of course these bikes are also the focus of the conversion. Of course, the Z4 comes on in-house forged rims, and more precisely it is a three-part rim called the "Misano Concept". It will soon go into series production as a one-piece variant. The forged wheel was built in the dimensions 9 and 10,5 × 19 inches and the rims were fitted with 235 and 275 Vredestein slippers. By means of Airride air suspension from the experts at Lowrider.at, the wheel set can be seated in the wheel arch with millimeter precision.

The Z4 can also be raised to a "mobile" level at any time at the push of a button. And of course the load must also be braked appropriately. Here one relies on a six-piston racing brake from K-Sport with large slotted brake discs and striking orange painted brake calipers for a deceleration that is appropriate to the species. By the way, the Z4 is supposed to be used as a drift vehicle. And to make this possible, there was also a Wisefab steering kit and a hydraulic handbrake with a fly-off lever. In addition, the interior received a screwed safety cell from the manufacturer Wiechers, radical Bride bucket seats with custom-made seat consoles and Takata six-point sports belts.

Everything that is still visible from the interior has also been wrapped in chic Alcantara. And of course we also want to go into the body. The unique look allows for a ultra-fine handmade carbon wide kit from Slek design that, aside from the doors, completely changed the Z4. There are new front and rear bumpers, widened fenders all around, matching side skirts and even a new bonnet with large air vents right and left. But especially the rear view of the enormous wide construction, which is completely made of carbon, is an eye-catcher as we find it.
Paint and rims are absolutely successful
An eye-catcher is also the paint of the Z4. She comes from the airbrush artist Knud Tiroch and completes the optical appearance impressively in combination with a red Pinstripe and the already mentioned Carbon view. The DOTZ-Z4 is definitely one of the absolute trade fair highlights and will often draw attention to itself.
