From the team of Vagabond Moto there is once again a completed project vehicle. And it's a car again. Although Vagabund Moto has long made a name for itself with unique motorcycles, the portfolio also shows them more and more often modified or restored (or both) cars. And the latest project is this Porsche 924 Safari Special, which was created in collaboration with NINE ELEVEN Outlaw. The Graz-based company had the East African as inspiration for the conversion Safari Rally in the back of your mind. To be more precise, the Porsche 911 with the legendary Martini paintwork from 1978. The so-called "safari conversions" have been enjoying growing popularity for a long time, but usually based on the Porsche 911. Vagabond Moto shows, however, that the 924 suitable for this.

At that time, the 924 was the "entry-level model" in the world of Porsche and replaced the 914. While the simple design and the relationship to VW/Audi were criticized at the time, the 924 convinced with good aerodynamics, the almost perfect weight distribution and the successful handling characteristics . And of course all the positive things are also present in the one-off 924 Safari Special from Vagabund Moto. But not only that! Because the classic sports car was given a clear off-road vehicle attitude by Vagabund.

By the way, the cooperation of NINE ELEVEN Outlaw also includes the expertise of the team from Dakar garage and so the V8 athlete enjoys a Landing Gear Lift Kit, a perforated underride guard and black painted steel rims All-terrain tires. The 924 was also equipped with a HELLA rally lighting system equipped and on the roof sits a powerful roof rack with spare tires and a shatterproof Pelican case. Other optical details are a largely monochromatic finish in mother-of-pearl white, there were red and gray accents on the sides and white lettering and logos are applied. And of course the interior has also changed. You can see a Sparco sports steering wheel with three spokes, there was one Short throw shifter and even a TerratripRally Counter with integrated GPS was installed.
