In four-wheel drive power distribution is one of the most important tools to optimally tune the vehicle. The vote has an impact on the subsequent driving experience and of course the efficiency of the car. The Swedish manufacturer Volvo has from now on a motor software in stock which brings more torque at the rear axle with all-wheel models of the series 90, 60 and XC40. The tuning was developed by the house tuner Polestar and the objective is to make the vehicles more dynamic. Steering and cornering but also accelerating out of a curve should now be improved.
Chiptuning for gasoline or diesel engines of the above variants is available from model year 2019 onwards. If you already own a hybrid version, you don't need the software. For vehicles with electric rear axles, Volvo has made sure that a rear-biased all-wheel drive is available ex works. An adjustment is therefore not necessary. For the vehicles to which the system applies, it is activated in "Dynamic" mode or when ESP is switched off.
