First of all, one should know the difference between stopping and parking. According to traffic law, stopping is interpreted as intentional / voluntary stopping of the car. This is also the case at a red traffic light or a level crossing, but here it is considered to be “waiting”. Incidentally, the driver is allowed to leave the car during the stopping process not leave.

If the stopping process takes longer than three minutes or you leave the car without being able to see it, this is already considered parking. A vehicle should always be parked to save space. And attention must be paid to the parking areas. After parking, there must still be enough space to get in and out and to maneuver. You generally have to park on the right-hand lane except in one-way streets or if there are rails on the right.
