Known for its picturesque cityscape and the Rhine River, Koblenz now has another reason to be proud. Ca Go, a young company from the city, presents its new e-bike. And it's no ordinary e-bike. Here we have a cargo bike with an exceptionally compact design and a low center of gravity. Ca Go's CUV e-bike CS is only 204 cm long, which makes it incredibly manoeuvrable and space-saving. It's also designed to be easy to control and take up less space than most competing models. This makes it ideal for use in city traffic.

The CUV e-bike CS can take a maximum total weight of 180 kg and has three different areas for storing cargo: a rear and a front luggage rack and a center rack. The downtube mounted center rack keeps the center of gravity low, making the ride stable and comfortable. And each of the three loading areas can be optimally utilized: the front rack carries up to 18 kg, the rear rack up to 27 kg and the center rack up to 30 kg. Although the CUV E-Bike CS carries a maximum total weight of 180 kg, it should be noted that the empty weight including the battery is just over 35 kg. This means that the maximum payload is 145 kg.
A look at the weight
This leaves less than 70 kg for the load for drivers over 75 kg. The CUV E-Bike CS is tailored to every rider. With an adjustable seat post and an adjustable stem, the hybrid of city and cargo e-bike can be used by riders between 1,65 and 2,00 m. It is also equipped with high-quality components such as a Suntour SR Cargo Moby 34 suspension fork, wide 20-inch Schwalbe pick-up cargo tires and Magura disc brakes. The centrally positioned battery can also be easily removed and charged both in and out.
performance, price and availability
The CUV E-Bike CS uses the Bosch Cargo Line Smart System, which has a maximum torque of 85 Nm to cope with steep climbs. With a 545 Wh Bosch battery (or optionally a 725 Wh power pack) it is well equipped for everyday use. Incidentally, all riding data can be called up via the LED control unit and the eBike Flow app. The bike is also available in three variants, which differ mainly in the type of gearshift. Prices range from €5.590 for the basic version with Microshift derailleur gears to €6.490 for the top version with low-maintenance Enviolo hub gears and easy-care belt drive. In terms of colour, you can choose between Active Mint Blue, Black Gray and Silk Grey.
Kindertransport? Rather limited
An important note for parents: the CUV e-bike CS is only suitable to a limited extent for directly transporting children. Although a child seat can be attached to the rear luggage rack, the manufacturer Ca Go recommends using a bicycle trailer for safe and comfortable transport. Nevertheless, the Ca Go CUV E-Bike CS has the potential to change the cityscape.
