At over 120 km/h: This e-scooter outperforms many cars! Can a scooter really be as fast as a car? The Hyperscooter proves exactly that. But it's allowed on German roads not driving. The world of electric mobility is already deeply anchored in our everyday traffic. From e-cars to e-bikes, everything is on our roads, including E-Scooter. But what about the so-called Hyperscooters? The projectiles differ in their Speed and Power from conventional e-scooters and are definitely worth an investment. A prime example is the RE90 by Rion Motors. The designers of the RE90 not only focused on high speed, but also made sure that it is safe to drive. That's how they exist running board and the handlebars made of carbon fiber reinforced material.

What makes the RE90 special?

Info: Carbon fiber combines strength with lightness, perfect for a scooter of this speed class. In addition, the RE90 has a hydraulic damping. A precise one steering also prevents unwanted steering movements, and the speed can be adjusted via a bike control, which is reminiscent of a mouse wheel. He is driven by the same two engines with a base power of over 2.000 watts,. A full battery charge supposedly allows trips of up to 80 kilometers. Compared to conventional e-scooters, which weigh between 10 and 15 kilograms, the RE90 weighs just over 30 kg. It is available for a price of almost 8.000 Euros.

Other hyperscooters available?

Before you crack your piggy bank for 8.000 euros: Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the RE90 from Rion Motors is currently is no longer sold new. And his successor, too Rion Thrust, is out of stock according to the manufacturer. If you still want to be part of the Hyperscooter community you could look for used models or alternatively check out Rion Motors' competitors. brands like Evolv, turbo wheel or nanrobot are just a few of the competitors in the race against Rion Motors. Less speed, but still fast: The KickScooter GT2P offers pure driving pleasure at 70 km/h and also leaves a lasting impression on your wallet at a purchase price of 3.000 euros.

What exactly is a hyperscooter?

In Germany, e-scooters are allowed on public roads maximum 20 km / h drive to get approved. Hyperscooters, on the other hand, reach speeds in the three-digit km/h range. One such model is the RE90 from Rion Motors from the USA: With a manufacturer's specification of 160 km/h he shows what is possible in the hyperscooter segment. But is it really 160 km/h? YouTuber Alien Rides tested it and came up with the RE90 (only) 121 km/h. Impressive for an e-scooter, but probably not fast enough to keep up with the real "missiles" on the road. Check out how the Hyperscooter Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 against the RE90 starts.
