Honda Jade with Stance tuning - a minivan can be so cool.

In Europe, minivans are purely family carriages, which are uncool and anything but sporty. The compact vans segment, which includes a BMW 2 Series Active Tourer or a Mercedes B-Class, for example, is pretty much spurned by young car enthusiasts who are enthusiastic about tuning. The situation is very different in China, where so-called MPVs are on the rise, and are increasingly competing with SUVs when it comes to the favor of buyers. Lighter, more economical, more variable and more versatile than classic SUVs, minivans are just really popular in the Far East and are very trendy there. Wherever there is an automotive trend, there is of course tuning, and that's why we are now introducing you to an exceptional Honda Jade, which is making its rounds in China and, in our opinion, has been stylishly and coolly refined by its owner.

A minivan as a show car.

Who would have believed that a compact van could be tuned like this? Imagine a Renault Scenic or a Mercedes B-Class with this tuning! Lowered, and crouching just millimeters above the ground, this Honda Jade was lowered with an Airride air suspension close to the road. Stance tuning of the finest variety on a minivan! Add a front spoiler and fog lights in the style of the current Renault Mégane RS, and you're done with a sporty-cool, rolling lounge, which in our opinion would cut a fine figure at any tuning meeting. In addition, the multi-part, forged VSXX alloy wheels in 19-inch format with a classic five-spoke design are a visual highlight, which give the Honda Jade a powerful upgrade and give it a really sporty style. Incidentally, the tinted windows are an ideal contrast to the white exterior paintwork and bring yet another sporty component into the extraordinary minivan. A roof spoiler was also attached to the rear, which is very subtle and gives the otherwise standard rear part a little pep. The wind deflector on the other hand, the doors are a bit too much and look a bit like rice tuning, which in our opinion affects the otherwise successful show car a little.

Interior with CDM style Tuning

We have after Civic with Yofer body kit now found the next Honda with the jade, which has a graffiti look in the interior. This time, however, it does not hit the headliner, but the cockpit, which looks marbled in the upper part, while it harbors red accents below. Shift paddles, which were installed later, the inside of the steering wheel and even the button to unlock the automatic selector lever were also painted in red to demonstrate a little individuality in the interior.

Nothing has been changed in terms of drive technology.

Under the hood of the Jade strikes a 1,5-liter turbo gasoline engine with 156 hp and 203 Nm of maximum torque. Although it does not pull out any trees, it accelerates the compact van from 10 to 0 km / h in 100 seconds and reaches a top speed of 187 kilometers per hour. But that is actually not so important, because with such a cool tuning project you would much rather like to draw everyone's attention than to race as quickly as possible.

Or with foiling and VSXX rims?

The owner has recently given the vehicle a cement-gray full film, a new set of VSXX alloy wheels in black (19 inches) and a cup spoiler sword. Add a roof box from Thule and you're done with a completely new style for 2020. Which variant do you like better? SUV models are very popular in Europe, but such a sporty MPV would surely also be something with which one could draw everyone's attention in this country.
