Do you love to drive a fat luxury SUV in an eco-friendly way and experience an adrenaline rush at the same time? Then welcome the latest Porsche Cayenne Turbo E Hybrid, the fiercest Cayenne ever. A few weeks ago, Porsche let it be known that a more powerful Cayenne was in the starting blocks. It was about one Plug-in hybrid spoken, the "far beyond 700 PS" and "well over 900 Nm“ and sprints from 4-0 km/h in “less than 100 seconds”. And now we have the facts. The updated Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid has 739 PS and a torque of 950 Nm. Although the "S" is missing, it surpasses the old Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid 59 PS and 50 Nm.

The power combination of an even more powerful V8 and an improved electric motor catapults the 2,6-ton heavyweight into 3,7 seconds from 0-100 km / h, with a tip of 295 clothes. The 4,0-liter twin-turbo V8 has been further optimized and now delivers 599 PS instead of the previous 550, while the electric motor now delivers 176 hp instead of 136. The revised Turbo E-Hybrid can also be up to 82 kilometers purely electrically return. Realistically, however, that's closer to around 60 kilometers by the WLTP standard, compared to the previous 42 km.

The Battery, which is placed under the trunk, was increased from 17,9 25,9 kWh increased and the integrated charger supports a charging power of up to 11 kW, so the battery should be fully charged in under 2,5 hours. And with the facelift, the Cayenne has two chassis variants. Both are customizable. One option is that Steel spring chassis, while the other one Smart Air suspension is. The latter comes with the innovative 2-chamber 2-valve technology, which is intended to expand the range between the Comfort and Sport Plus suspension settings.

Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus

The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is part of the standard equipment. In addition, you can optionally use the PHEV with the Roll stabilization PDCC and an Rear axle steering Mistake. In terms of looks, the two Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid models (SUV and SUV Coupé) are differentiated by a special Turbo front apron with enlarged air intakes and glossy black ones air blades. Wheel covers and rear End are kept in body color. Other details are red calipers and four polished exhaust pipes Stainless Steel.

Inside awaits the occupants Alcantara (or rather Race-Tex headliner, GT steering wheel with heating function and 18-way adjustable leather sports seats, which have particularly robust backrests and headrests. And Porsche also has a new one GT package for the Turbo-E-Hybrid Coupé at the start. It essentially combines all the features of the Turbo GT, apart from the drive. All chassis and control systems, including the air suspension, are here with an adjusted setting and a 10 mm lowering provided and the ceramic brake system is also included.

on request on GT 22-inch rims

In order to achieve particularly agile steering behavior, GT signature pivot bearings installed, which increase the front axle camber by -0,58 degrees. That, in combination with wider front wheels, promises improved lateral dynamics. Optionally, the GT 22 inch rims can also be purchased with special high-performance tires. The GT package gives the Cayenne the Turbo GT look: A modified front apron, black Wheel arch, carbon details on roof spoiler, placed in the middle tailpipes the titanium exhaust system and a rear diffuser made of carbon characterize the picture. And the roof is also made of carbon.

And the GT package also provides an additional boost. Not quite as impressive as the original with 3,3 seconds, but the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is impressive 3,6 seconds and the top speed is at 305. Porsche also announces that the new performance model is the second of a total of three hybrid Cayennes to be launched in 2023. So there will be another example that sits between the 470 PS E-Hybrid and the current powerhouse. Incidentally, the new one can already be ordered and has a starting price of EUR 176.324 in Germany. The coupé variant starts at EUR 179.775. You have to invest significantly more for the coupé with GT package, the price is at least 208.454 euros.
