Hard to believe, but that Shelby GT 2019 presented in 770 and 500 hp is now becoming even stronger, lighter and even more exclusive due to its tiny number. And we are pretty sure that the ones available now 811 PS massive pressure on the brand new in the Shelby GT500SE Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock should do. And for the regulars' table, the "8" is right at the front - in the HP specification - instead of the "7", of course, also important. For the GT500, Shelby American has also partially reissued the GT350. Both now come as a limited edition Signature Edition or can be converted individually. So if you want to own the current Mustang as an extremely brutal variant, you can order a Shelby GTSignature edition-Model. The Las Vegas-based company of founder Carroll Shelby has given the strictly limited Signature Edition a slightly different styling and, in the case of the GT500, even another 40 hp. The Signature Edition (SE) specifies Shelby with "800+ horsepower", which should be almost exactly 811 hp.

The +800 HP are generated by the well-known 5,2-liter compressor V8 with the addition of 93-octane fuel. What do +100 octane do? The SE achieves another increase in performance with a new cooler and a few changes to the compressor (including pulley) and the intercooler and heat exchanger are new. And Shelby also wants to consistently bring the additional service onto the road. Therefore, renewed chassis modifications should give the GT500SE more bite on the racetrack. Shelby therefore built in new springs and modified stabilizers and thus achieved a more aggressive suspension setting especially for the racetrack. The power is transmitted by powerful 11 ​​× 20 and 11,5 × 20 inch forged wheels with sticky - previously unknown - tires and the wheelset is bolted to the hubs of the GT by means of hardened wheel bolts. And the SE is even slimming down. A completely new carbon bonnet with air scoop, additional struts and lightweight fasteners reduce the vehicle weight by as much as 13,6 kilograms.

The limited SE becomes visible with additional stripes, emblems and badges, which of course can also be seen on the engine and the dashboard. Compared to the "normal" GT500, the sports seats are now equipped with a Carroll Shelby logo, which is also the case in the GT350SE. And compared to the normal GT350, it has also been modified at many points. He also got the chassis upgrade as well as the exterior and interior decorations of the GT500SE. The wheel-tire combination of one-piece forged rims is a bit more discreet with 10,5 × 19 and 11 × 19 inches, but the GT350SE also has special (not specified) Performance tires. The ultra-light bonnet is not available on the "little brother" (optional but available), but there is an enlarged rear spoiler for him. The power remains unchanged at 533 hp and, on request, both vehicles can be equipped with the extensive wide body kit from Shelby.

And if you don't want to take the family with you in the GT anyway, you can have the rear seats removed directly from the factory. The back seat is then replaced by a metal strut. In addition, Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires can also be ordered for the GT to drive directly to the race track. And in the near future, an extensive carbon package will even be available for the GT500SE. For the GT350SE, however, there is a new aluminum coolant tank and one Short shift ready. And now the bad news: There will be a maximum of 100 copies of the Signature Edition in each model year. And the fact that existing GT500s from 2020 can also be retrofitted (GT350 even from 2015 to 2020) should again significantly reduce the small number of completely new vehicles. But if you can do it somehow, the package price of $ 9.995 (Shelby GT350SE; approx. 8.500 euros) and $ 29.995 (Shelby GT500SE; approx. 25.500 euros) also includes a membership in the Shelby team and a donation to the Carroll Shelby Foundation.
