What was the outcry? While in the Audi S6 series C6 even a mighty 5,2-liter ten-cylinder with 435 PS tinkered you went back to the successor to an eight-cylinder. And 2019 is it all at once no V10 and also no V8 more, but “only” a disdainful V6. And then also as a diesel. Driving fun? Unavailable! Until you really drove the VW EA897evo2 six-cylinder for the first time. And suddenly things like a lithium-ion battery that stores braking energy or an electric compressor become really interesting. The “only” 349 hp (257 kW) in combination with the “mighty” 700 Nm torque make at least the V10 look old. And the 4-liter BiTurbo V8 of the predecessor is not really faster either. But it is a few tenths if you make an effort, nevertheless.

384 PS and 760 Nm torque

And you definitely don't want that with a “new model”, right? Reason enough for the tuner ABT Sportsline missed the new S6 TDI, the in-house high-tech control unit ABT Engine Control (AEC). Then press on the stylish ABT start-stop switch cap (Optional) is under the hood suddenly more going on. This increases the power to 384 PS (282 kW) and maximum 760 Nm torque. So equipped, the 5 seconds mark drops at the 0 spurt at 100 km / h. The Avant only needs 4,9 for the discipline instead of 5,1 seconds. And if you put the increase in performance in the technically identical sedan, the S6 even a blink of an eye faster. And of course, the upgrade is also suitable for the S7 Sportback TDI.

Because he also has the V6 with VTG turbocharger and electric compressor under the hood. And even optically, ABT can already do something about the S6. The tuner has a matching rear apron set for the sedan and the Avant ready and soon to follow a complete aerodynamic package. On the other hand, new light-alloy wheels such as the 21 ABT DR Alus in black, which can be seen on the photo vehicle, are now available. Other variants and sizes are also available. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
