BMW has a special surprise in store for its drivers in the first days of the new year. From December 31.12st the vehicle can play an animation in the display on request. The New Year's message is accompanied by suitable music and an impressive ambient light orchestration.

The New Year's Festive Animation is available to all customers in the participating markets with the appropriate special equipment from January 1st to 7th. Immediately after starting the vehicle, the corresponding banner is shown on the control display. If this is clicked, the New Years program will start. The entire screen of the control display is displayed with a festive visual animation. There is also a suitable background music as well as an ambient light staging. Alternatively, the customer also has the option of making New Year's wishes with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant and the voice command "Hey BMW, happy new year"Or to start it manually via the app in the vehicle menu, which will also be available there for a week. The New Years banner appears up to three times after the vehicle has started and is still available in the message menu at any time after it has been activated for the first time.
in Germany not available
A similar Christmas feature will also be available in certain markets from December 24th. This presentation can also be called up via the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with the voice input "Hey BMW, Merry Christmas!"Or via the app in the vehicle menu. If available, the video message can be viewed in the vehicle at any time for the 7th day from December 24th. The Christmas animation is not available in Germany. The festive animations are worldwide in 41 countries and for vehicles with the BMW Operating System 7.0 from software version 07/2020.
