The Spanish performance brand CUPRA today confirmed the launch of a new, purely electric model next year. The new CUPRA el-Born is intended to fundamentally change the existing market for electric vehicles. The concept vehicle el-Born was presented for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show last year and was praised for its striking elegance and strong expressiveness.

The CUPRA design team has continued to develop the vehicle since its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in order to emphasize its sporty character and impressive appearance even more. The result is the brand's first all-electric model: the CUPRA el-Born. It will be built in the German plant in Zwickau.

It proves that electric vehicles can be sporty and, at the same time, with a long range, are suitable for everyday use. ”The CUPRA el-Born is based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform and is equipped with the latest technology - including a head-up display with augmented Reality function and a comprehensive connectivity and infotainment system with a 12-inch screen.

With the sports bucket seats and the new steering wheel with CUPRA mode and driving profile buttons, the CUPRA el-Born expresses its claim to performance. The new CUPRA el-Born will be launched in 2021. It combines sustainable mobility with the dynamic character that car lovers want. The CUPRA el-Born combines unique, exclusive design with the most advanced technologies and a low ecological footprint thanks to locally emission-free drive.
