270 PS and Bodykit - the Abarth Fiat 500 from Carrotec

Can you still remember the phenomenal Widebody Mercedes S-Class from the Swiss tuner CarroTec recall? An extremely extensive project that in a dreamlike Red Chrome Matt Foil ended and impressively shows what can be made of the W221 luxury liner. And today we would like to present you another vehicle from CarroTec. But this time the base is pretty much the complete opposite - a small one Abarth Fiat 500 with 1,4 liter turbo engine under the cute hood. But this project was no less complex and it has nothing more to do with "cute", especially in view of the enormous performance. But let's start with the changes outside. The already very distinctive aerodynamics package of the Abarth 500 was expanded by 15 mm on each side using special fenders and the front apron was adapted accordingly.

Aerodynamic parts from Koshi

There was also a subtle front spoiler from the Italian company "Koshi-Group", a new handle strip on the trunk lid, mirror caps and door handles, a rear diffuser and new bezels for the Abarth emblems front and rear. Some of the parts are made of stylish carbon fiber and skilfully stand out from the white body. As an eye-catcher, the roof has been wrapped in black and applied decorative stripes in the colors of the Italian flag. As already mentioned, the engine received significantly more processing. It now delivers a whopping 270 PS & 340 NM torque. For the most part, components from our neighbors came from HRE Performance Solutions (Neukirchen / Erzgebirge) are used. This is a brand of the company Exhaust technology Hiller.

3-inch stainless steel exhaust system

Here, however, there is no connection to the US rim label HRE Performance Wheels, Even if you could guess that. CarroTec distributes the products of HRE Performance Solutions in Switzerland and thus also has access to the brand new HRE1446BW turbocharger. The Air Intake Kit, the large intercooler and the fine tuning of the engine software are also from HRE and are responsible for the hefty jump in performance. Inside the engine there were still Wössner forged pistons, a finely balanced crankshaft, ARP bolts and revised bearing shells. The new set-up is staged in a powerful manner by an 3-inch stainless steel exhaust system including the associated rear silencer 695 biposto look and catapults the 500 to over 250 km / h. So that the significant additional power is also implemented in a durable and consistent manner in propulsion, a new clutch and a modified flywheel were installed, which of course also come from HRE.

18 inch Rotiform RSE alloy wheels

And unmistakably there was also a nice wheel set. Installed are custom-made classic silver Y-spoke rims from Rotiform in 8,5 × 18 inches (bolt circle of 4 × 98) and more precisely it is the type RSE we already on GTI from TVW Car Design have seen. The lightweight wheel set comes with Hankook tires in the dimensions 215/35 ZR18 including cool ones Tire-style stickers, Incidentally, the Lowering receives the Abarth thanks to adjustable Lowtec coilover suspension with special sabilizer end pieces in front. And finally, the interior has been planned and replaced, for example, parts of the steering wheel, the steering column or the center console and other small trim elements with in-house carbon screens. In the coming months, a complete Alcantara interior including sports seats or Schaltwegverkürzung will be used. With this Abarth 500 Carrotec from Arlesheim manages once again to set up a fabulous vehicle that is second to none. We are already looking forward to the planned conversions. Of course, if we get the first information, there is always an update for this report. It is best to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will get in touch immediately. We wish you a lot of fun watching the pictures.
