It is and will remain the flagship of the luxury class - the Mercedes S-Class. Always elegantly styled and yet equipped with the necessary restraint, the luxury liner is the first choice, especially for business people. Visually, the S63 AMG top model is only slightly different, and although it has new bumpers, different alloy wheels and a subtle lowering, it still lives from the understatement. If you want to give the subtle S-series outfit a huge boost, Prior Design has it for you its known Widebody body kit in stock. Swiss specialists from Carrotec have chosen exactly this kit to build it on a W221 S63 AMG. Although the wheel arches of the W221 are already conspicuous and bulky at the factory, Prior Design still manages to top it off. From now on, the wheel arches are even wider and further exposed.

This is achieved by means of completely new front fenders and attachments for the side walls and the rear doors. Of course, the aprons at the front and rear are also much wider, the whole thing has to match the new wheel arches. Incidentally, the design of the new bumpers is designed so that they are again significantly more aggressive than the standard aprons and also those of the W221 AMG package. Of course, there are also additional side skirts to match. There were also changes at the rear because a large diffuser was installed here that encloses two AMG-style tailpipes. The rear is rounded off with a discreet spoiler lip on the trunk lid. And the bonnet has also been revised and now has indicated air outlets on the right and left. The flagship is clearly set in scene by means of the matt red (chrome red) full film. The roof, the mirror caps, the radiator grille and all logos and emblems are visually distinguished by a glossy black finish. And of course a set of new alloy wheels had to be found.

Here, too, it was enough to take a look at Prior-Design's repertoire to find it. A set of black painted PD1 rims has been installed that fill the wheel arches in the dimensions 10,5 × 20 inches ET40. By the way, the new Alu's are equipped with huge 295 slippers. It's hard to believe, but even with the 295 tires there was still enough space for 50 millimeter spacers per axle. And of course a lowering is also part of the program. The body was lowered by a few centimeters by intervening in the control unit of the electro-hydraulic "Active Body Control" chassis system. In our opinion, the overall impression of the vehicle is absolutely spectacular and nothing is reminiscent of the subtle style ex works. If we get more details about the changes, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
