Actually, we would not have to write anything at all because the headline with the addition HPE1200 and the reference to the vehicle, 2018 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, already says it all. The new ZR1 with 765 PS from 6,2 l engine displacement is an absolute monster at the factory and manages with 969 Newton meters torque to an insane top speed of 338 km / h. But this is for the American tuner Hennessey performance apparently not enough.

With capacity expansion and compressor conversion, the company wants to increase the performance of the LT5 to incredible 1.200 horsepower. The torque is expected to increase from 969 Newtonmeter to crazy 1.445 NM and all this means that it goes in only 2,2 seconds on 60 mp / h and the quarter mile already after 9,2 seconds, and a top speed of 147 mp / h completed. The top speed is set to rise again and so Hennessey indicates about 370 km / h.

Of course, not only the supercharger is built in to achieve this whopping performance boost, but also components such as a new intake system, specially developed camshafts and crankshaft, forged steel connecting rods with aluminum pistons, ported cylinder heads, an improved valvetrain and, of course, a handcrafted sports exhaust system. A list of all known changes can be found below (in English)! Visually, on the other hand, one skilfully holds back and so there are only new floor mats for the interior and various Hennessey logos.

However, we assume that changes will be made here as well. Eventually there will soon be another rear wing and other carbon aerodynamic components for the ZR1. And if you want to take it a bit easier for the Hennessey holds two more performance kits ready as HPE850 and HPE1000 according to the names of the performance of the ZR1 raise. If we still get details about further changes, there is of course an update for this story. About the update you will be informed if yours Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
