Skoda has decided the next Rapid only as a hatchback (Spaceback) and put him in the name Ladder to baptize. The new name results from the fact that the Scala on the MQB A0 platform should have made a huge step towards the future compared to the Rapid. Just as extensive as that of the Yeti was to Karoq. Under the hood, he sets himself, however, in terms of performance, but only partially from its predecessor. The diesel version and the three petrol units are known in principle and as expected with 115 PS in the 1.6 TDI up to a maximum of 150 PS in the 1.5 TSI reasonable, The 1.0 TSI with 95 PS as base vehicle and the 90 PS 1.0 G-Tec will arrive later in the year.
PowerControl X Tuningbox & PedalBox
But DTE-Systems already has a performance upgrade for the currently available engines. The 1,5-liter petrol engine comes with Plug & Play PowerControl X tuning box with 29 PS and 58 Nm on the road and should be able to annoy many a VW Golf 1.8 TSI. The increase in performance can be varied with three programs (Sport, Dynamic, Efficiency) and even comes with a mobile phone APP. And the well-known DTE Systems PedalBox - a module for accelerator tuning - is already available for the Scala. By the way, the 1.0 TSI with 115 PS is up to 22 PS & 35 NM, the 1.0 TSI with 95 PS is pushed by 23 PS & 35 NM and the 1.6 TDI is strengthened by 19 PS & 40 NM.
