From the company ECD Automotive Design (also known as East Coast Defender) there is news regarding so-called Electromods. While previously specializing in the classic Land Rover Defender, there is now one too Jaguar E-Type Modification. Either with GM V8 or with Tesla powertrain. This expands the range, which previously consisted of Range Rover, Land Rover Series II & Co., with another classic. According to the ECD, both "Classic car fanatics and Jaguar Land Rover enthusiasts alike can enjoy the legendary sports car, restored to the highest quality down to the smallest detail - from engine to upholstery color and everything in between - (and) bespoke just for the owner.The first vehicles are probably already in production and will be at the beginning of next year completed.
ECD electrifies the Jaguar E-Type
Since ECD is currently moving to a hall of around 9.300 square meters, two separate production lines will soon be running, which will be up to 100 individual vehicles per year make possible. Only price information is not available yet. But it goes without saying that it won't be cheap. So far we only know that there should be two classic engine options for the E-Type. And by means of GM V8 engine including 450 hp LT1 variant or alternatively by means of 450 hp Tesla electric drive. If we get more information, there will of course be an update for this report.
