Making the new Porsche 911 GT3 (992) even more performant, Manthey has accepted this challenge and is now giving insights into the first performance kit for the 992 model series. The further development of aerodynamics, chassis, brakes and wheels make the sports car even more powerful. The development is designed in the same way as the performance packages for the 991 GT3 RS and 991 GT2 RS, so that the vehicle warranty remains in effect. The sales start of the new kit is planned for the second quarter of 2022.

"With the new GT3, the Weissach team presented us with a great challenge. Our goal of making Porsche GT vehicles even more powerful for racetrack operation without changing the core DNA of the vehicles too much, and at the same time putting together an attractive package for track-loving customers, has kept us busy with the current GT3. In addition to the pure performance, I am also extremely satisfied with the visual appearance“, Explains development manager Stefan Mages.
The technology and the entire know-how from motorsport flow into the development of performance kits. Made for the race track: Extensive tests and numerous laps on the home track, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, were run through as part of the development in order to guarantee the best possible performance of the Manthey products for road vehicles. In addition to the "track performance", the focus in development is also on maintaining suitability for everyday use, so that customers can travel to the track day in a relaxed manner with their GT3.
17 seconds faster than its predecessor
"The first performance kit for a new model range is always something special, and I am proud that we can now present the first results. The production vehicle lapped the Nordschleife, the traditional benchmark for all sports cars, 17 seconds faster than the previous model in set-up drives - that's impressive, and I'm curious to see how fast the vehicle with the Manthey Performance Kit will be“, Says Nicolas Raeder, managing director of Manthey-Racing GmbH.
