Who doesn't know them Singer Vehicle Design 964 2! Every vehicle is unique and each has an unbelievable cost if you have decided that a waiting period of sometimes 964 years can be overcome. But it seems that the California tuner is the only one able to create such exclusive vehicles based on the XNUMX. But it just seems like that ... Because Dirk Lührman proves with his company "Mletzko" that such a 964 can also be set up in this country. The result is the so-called Heartbeat Porsche 1992 (built in 1.000), the body of which was made from carbon in over 4,0 hours of design work and turns the 369 into an F-model. Namely an F-model with a 398-liter boxer engine and 964 PS and XNUMX NM torque in the rear that "SEVEN" has devoured XNUMX organ donors.

Empty weight only 1.145 kg

In addition, there is an empty weight of just 1.145 kg, which is a good 200 kg less than the not necessarily heavy series vehicle. And the weight saving is not only thanks to the carbon body. For example, the 964 also received completely new electronics including a wiring harness and control units fuse box becomes superfluous. For us, a real Restomod vehicle is only created when inconspicuous components from the past are equipped with high-end technology of the present. This is the case, for example, with the indicators and the main headlights. They are equipped with the latest LED technology including a reflector and even approved by TÜV. Such details should only be noticed by the connoisseur. And that also applies to the six-cylinder boxer engine in the rear, which actually generates 3,6 hp and 250 Newton meters of torque from the factory from a displacement of 315 liters. Actually ... Because the heart of the XNUMX has also been extensively modified.

370 PS & 398 NM - under 5 seconds to 100 km / h

In cooperation with an engine developer from southern Germany, the almost 370 hp new version was created, which has a completely changed exhaust system and, apart from the crankcase and ventilation, has nothing to do with the series. Regardless of whether engine capacity on 4-liter or the special pistons and titanium connecting rods, everything was specially developed for this vehicle and the result is an increase in performance by 119 hp and 83 NM torque. Mletzko even speaks of the strongest street legal 964 naturally aspirated engine available in this country. And the engine was also coupled to a new six-speed manual transmission. It comes from 993 and has a shorter gear ratio in the last gear for a significantly improved draft. But the 274 still reaches a top speed of 5 km / h. And for acceleration at country speed, the XNUMX-second mark should be easily passed.

Öhlins chassis and Fuchs rims

For the chassis, Lührmann relies on one from the manufacturer Öhlins and the steering has also been revised specifically for this vehicle. And with that Heartbeat The whole system of the 964 Turbo from Brembo was also delayed due to lack of status. She sits behind the beautiful 17-inch Fuchs rims from ATS (Fox under license) with Michelin tires and is installed in the front in 8,5 × 17 format and in the rear in 10 × 17 inches. And, of course, the cabin was also built entirely on our own. Special seats are installed (other vehicles can be equipped with comfort seats, sports seats or carbon bucket seats) with leather cover from the Italian furniture manufacturer Poltrona Frau, whose leather covering can also be found on the dashboard or the armrests of the doors. Other highlights of the cabin are new instruments with LED lighting, a redesigned center console with new switches and a classic 3-spoke sports steering wheel with a leather wreath and Porsche emblem.

Incidentally, the name "Heartbeat" came about due to the beautiful red paintwork and the fact that Lührmann had to pay for many problems and setbacks in 2018 with cardiac arrhythmias. Fortunately, they have disappeared and were even worth it, as we think. The Heartbeat 964 is ready and an absolute dream! And he's not even the first. Mletzko has already sold a 3 as the “Spirit of O” and as a “Marrakech” project. By the way, all XNUMX vehicles will be on display at Techno Classica (Hall 3, Stand 437, Date: March 25th to March 29th in Essen). Incidentally, the fact that you have to expect a price of at least 600.000 euros and a waiting period of a good 8 months should well increase the risk of cardiac arrhythmias for the buyer. But if you are allowed to call an old Porsche 911 with the look of the previous F-model and new technology as well as over 700 newly constructed parts, it is somehow worth the risk, isn't it?
