Strange but true - the Ford F150 has already arrived in the "Generation 13"! It all started with the Ford F-1 (1948–1952) which was available with an in-line six-cylinder and V8 engine from 3,5 to 5,5 liters displacement. But already with the 12th generation, Ford planted a new, supercharged Ecoboost V2011 engine with 6 liters displacement in the pickup in the spring of 3,5, thus causing heated discussions among the fan base. The 13th and current generation, which is still available with a 5.0 Ti-VCT V8, but whose focus is clearly on the 3.5 V6 EcoBoost, got it even worse. With generation 14, it is to be expected that a V8 will be completely absent from the range. Downsizing thank you!

But now comes the PAXPOWER Ford F-150 V8! The only Raptor with V8. A converted 2018 Ford F-150 Platinum. And one of the highlights is under the bonnet. The V2,9 engine, which has been heavily modified by means of a 8-liter Whipple compressor, has an incredible 758 PS & 813 NM and is now in service in the F-150. The absolute highlight is definitely the complete conversion to the huge Raptor body. All components are OEM Ford Raptor components and you can see that too. Striking and particularly robust aprons, new bonnet, huge radiator grille with Ford lettering, huge fender attachments, an aluminum underrun protection and of course the completely built-in OEM Raptor chassis.

It also includes the Toyo Open Country R / T 35 × 12,5 inch tires on Method Con 6 18 inch aluminum rims for tireless propulsion off paved slopes. Any unevenness and obstacles can be ironed away easily thanks to the 6 inch suspension travel. What has remained is the 10-speed automatic which ensures perfect implementation of the enormous performance. After all, the monster accelerates to 5,26 km / h in just 100 seconds, which is an improvement of almost 1 second compared to a "real" Raptor. And by the way, it is below a Tesla Model S 85. A complete conversion including the striking foiling, the compressor to increase performance and various changes in the interior, however, costs a good 38.000 $.

The price is put into perspective, however, in view of a used F-150 and the fact that this vehicle will be manufactured by PaxPower in 3-4 weeks. If you order a Raptor EcoBoost now, you have to wait at least 3-4 months. PaxPower gives a full 2 year guarantee on the complete conversion as well as the parts used and even 3 years without the compressor. So - if you want a "real" Raptor, you should contact PaxPower and order one. Who knows how long such vehicles will be left? If we receive more information in a timely manner, there is of course as always an update for this report.
