Lexus is more known as a brand for hybrid vehicles and automotive connoisseurs who attach great importance to comfort. The luxury division of Toyota can also build very different and dynamic two-door coupés that appeal to tuning friends and sporty drivers. Above all, thanks to the puristic rear-wheel drive, the Lexus coupés can be very dynamically circled around the corners and compete with the coupés from BMW & Co. in terms of driving dynamics. Many tuning fans have also recognized this, and the current Lexus RC in particular is very popular with tuners all over the world, above all as a potent RC-F that makes 477 hp, but also as the more civilian RC 350.
Lexus RC350 as a real eye-catcher
Pretted up with a martial-looking body kit from the cult tuning company Pandem rocketbunny tra-kyoto (known as Rocket Bunny), and with the help of an Airride chassis (by Airlift-Performance) lowered so low that it pushes the leaves lying on the street in front of it in autumn, this Lexus attracts everyone's attention. The matt black body and the extremely heavily tinted taillights match the tuning style of the coupé perfectly, and the whole vehicle, which rolls on two-piece Vossen X Work VWS-1 forged wheels in 20-inch format, looks extremely professionally refined. Bronze-colored accents on the rims as well as the red brake calipers, which live behind the tires, add a little color to the matt black aura of the Japanese low-flying aircraft. The discreet rear spoiler and the four-pipe exhaust system, which is also kept in matt black, fit very harmoniously into the overall concept. Equipped in this way, you can easily move on to the next JDM tuning meetings travel, and you can be sure that you will draw everyone's attention when you show up there with the dreamlike Coupe.
The engine was not changed
Under the hood, a 3,5-liter V6 petrol engine does its job, which is also used in the Toyota Avalon, for example, and in the Lexus RC350 delivers a decent 313 PS & 380 Newton meters of maximum torque. In contrast to many modern engines, it is not forcibly ventilated because it is a purely naturally aspirated engine. This ensures the famous smoothness that makes a Lexus so distinctive, even though it is a V6 and not a classic straight-six, as it was known from the first-generation Lexus IS200. The performance of the RC350 is quite impressive, as the sports coupé storms from 5,9 to 0 km / h in 100 seconds. The propulsion unfortunately ends at 230 kilometers per hour, but many tuning forges can certainly do something here and give the Lexus free rein, because the eight-speed automatic sports transmission, which is installed as standard with manual intervention, allows significantly higher speeds without any problems. Nevertheless, you can of course also annoy with the standard electronic lock to 230 km / h, on the autobahn, so many Audi, BMW or Mercedes with the brutal sports coupé if you press the tube and are in a particularly hurry.
Lexus for tuning freaks with a penchant for individuality
Such a Lexus with Rocket Bunny tuning and Vossen rims is a very special automotive treasure and stands out comfortably from the crowd. This vehicle is an absolute dream for all JDM fans, and fans of other tuning styles and car brands could also get excited about the Lexus brand when they see the beautiful coupé.
