With the sixth generation of the Polo (type A0), VW has finally managed to mutate the small car towards the Golf. Not only the dimensions can hardly be associated with a small car with a length of over 4 m; Even the optional equipment features - such as a fully digital display or the eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system - are currently in vain among the competition. Only the sporty character, which the Polo has particularly earned in rallying, could be a bit more pronounced in the street version. The sixth generation looks mature, but it's not exciting. But that can easily be changed. Because the professionals at H&R have developed sport springs that fit into two versions of the small car and are now available.
If the new springs are installed, the Polo chassis can be lowered by around 35 or 50 millimeters, which in turn means that the wheels in the wheel arches look much sportier. The successful H&R spring set-up and the lowering of the center of gravity ensure that the Polo becomes a real cornering talent and also conveys driving pleasure and a real “GTI feeling”. And it is precisely this feeling that the drivers of the current Seat Ibiza (Type 6F) can feel. The H&R sport springs are also approved for the Spaniard - also built on the MQB-A0 platform. In addition, all Polo and Ibiza fans will soon be able to install the popular “Trak +” wheel spacers with the standard or retrofit wheels and ensure that the tires are perfectly aligned with the wheel arch edges.

Hallo,
Which springs are installed on the example vehicle?
35 / 35 or 50 / 50 ???
Hi Alex,
without guarantee, but how do you think these are the 35mm springs.
VG Tom from tuningblog
Are there already H&R springs for the new Polo GTI, or are the specified ones also for the GTI?
Good morning Mark,
We believe that the springs also fit the GTi. It's best to write a quick email to H&R directly. ([email protected])
You should then receive a timely information.
For an optimal allocation please add the previous email history!
Best Regards,
Thomas Wachsmuth
