It's hard to believe, but apart from the well-known Porsche classic tuners Singer Vehicle Design or Gunther factory there are actually other companies that are also familiar with the XNUMX and no less spectacular vehicles. And one of these companies is the American restorer and tuner STRAAT automobiles led by Nelson Calle. As already mentioned, the Miami-based company has focused on the Porsche 911 and, as far as we know, has already completed a 1973 911S in signal yellow, a 1968 911 in slate gray, a 1969 911T in white and a 1970 911T in elegant tangerine orange (you will find the vehicles at the end of the article). And another vehicle is this 911 in classic light gray, which was apparently completed in 2018 and which we would now like to shed a little more light on.

The 911 G model (built by 1973-1989) has been completely restored and is a so-called Restomod. The light gray paintwork is cleverly staged with many black accents (aprons, door handles, window frames, rear-view mirrors, front spoilers, etc.) and the ultra-modern LED headlights are also darkened in black. The classic stands on 17-inch aluminum rims in the Fuchs design, which are covered with Michelin Pilot Sport tires and find space in the slightly widened wheel arches. Of course, a modern coilover kit goes without saying and the 3-liter 6-cylinder boxer in the rear also received a revision with more power. Although there is no further information on how the performance is increased, the installation of an electronic PMO fuel injection and a Haltech engine control unit are a fact.
5-speed manual transmission - type 915
And also the 5-speed manual transmission type 915 (Predecessor of the G 50 transmission variant) and the high performance sports brake system from the Porsche 930 with perforated discs cannot be denied. And the interior of the 911 is at least as spectacular as the look on the outside. The completely redecorated cabin features light green leather and black accents, and many small details such as the retro-green displays and carpets in the Porsche 356 style create a special flair. And the Porsche Classic digital radio with navigation system in combination with a premium audio system with 6 speakers, the MOMO Prototipo sports steering wheel and the brand new air conditioning / heating make the unique interior and the built-in technology so enviable.

The individual item is impressively rounded off with countless other details such as the electric sunroof or the specially designed sports exhaust system. An incredibly successful vehicle that even shows the use on the racetrack in the video below. We currently have no further details on the STRAAT XNUMX.
