Partner project: 350 PS VW Amarok with Airride & Widebody

350 hp from the 3,0 liter V6 diesel (VW EA897 evo) from VW? We were convinced that the recently presented ABT Sportsline Amarok with 306 PS already shows the maximum possible. But apparently there is much more possible. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has in cooperation with the tuners Factory 2 automotive and envy factor set up an Amarok DC Aventura (name: Red Rok), which delivers a proud 350 PS & 750 Newton meters of maximum torque to all four wheels. The Mercedes X 350 d 4MATIC or the new Ford Ranger Raptor look pretty stupid. And the team from Werk 2 achieves the tuning exclusively by means of Revo Stage 1 ECU chip tuning. An impressive value that at the same time raises the question of what would be possible with a different turbocharger, improved cooling, etc.? Maybe just under 400 hp and over 850 Newton meters of torque? Perhaps… But the increase in output to 350 hp alone gives the Amarok wings. It should only take 100 seconds to reach 5,6 km/h, which means that the pickup can sometimes annoy a BMW 335i & Co.

22 inch & fender flares

And that also applies to the top speed, which is said to only be reached at 250 km/h. The Amarok sounds like a thoroughbred athlete, because the tired V6 diesel sound is drowned out by an optimized Edel01 exhaust system with an adjustable sound actuator. Incidentally, the load is brought to a standstill by an optimized 380 mm 6-piston Revo brake system, which is hidden behind 11,5×22 inch Hyper XT 10-spoke rims from OZ Racing. These wear 295/30 slippers all around and are covered by huge Delta 4×4 fender flares. And in addition to the increase in performance, another highlight in our opinion is definitely the built-in prototype Airride air suspension (by factory 2 in cooperation with Lowtec). This enables a heavy lowering at the push of a button and thus the Amarok a really blatant appearance. However, if the pickup needs to be on the road off the beaten track, it can be raised again in a matter of seconds at the touch of a button. Cool thing… Many details like the black grille with red GTI eyeliner to the headlights (by headlight factory), the black roof, the LED rear lights, the removed chrome or the specially mixed red finish round off the visual appearance of the project impressively.

countless hours of work in the cabin

And it is no less spectacular in the cab. Here, in countless hours, the team of envy factor has created hands and lined the cabin to the last corner with high-quality Alcantara. This is joined by black piano paint and a red contrasting seam and an 12 clock mark on the steering wheel. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and the tuners envy factor and Factory 2 automotive show impressively with the 350 hp Amarok what the Wolfsburg pickup is capable of. If we receive timely information on other changes that have not been mentioned before, there will of course be an update for this report, as always.
