The 2005-2006 Ford GT is one of America's dream supercars and used model prices have risen sharply of late. And this particular 2005 GT fetched a staggering $479.500, and the staggering sum can even be justified. Because it is by no means an ordinary GT. The car is now on eBay from the Texas dealer PC Classic Cars offered for sale. Since it was first registered, it has only run 4.763 miles (approx. 7.665 km) and has also been extensively tested by the experts at Underground racing modified.
Underground Racing BiTurbo Ford GT
The world-renowned tuner is known for creating some of the craziest Ford GTs, Audis and Lamborghini vehicles. On this GT they removed the factory supercharger from the 5,4 liter V8 and installed a set of turbochargers in its place. Underground Racing also developed new exhaust manifolds and a custom exhaust system for the GT and states that the engine has since been around 950 PS performs. Power is sent through a six-speed Ricardo manual transmission and only to the rear wheels.
The exterior of the Ford GT with turbocharger setup is in plain high-gloss black, but the front bumper, bonnet and trunk lid are covered with a matt black film. The vehicle was also fitted with a set of 20-inch front and 21-inch rear rims, which are powder-coated black. The rims are fitted with 275/30 tires at the front and 355/25 tires at the rear.
Vehicle appears to be in good condition
It's no surprise that the interior appears in pristine condition given the low mileage. The black leather seats and the magnesium used in the center of the center console show hardly any signs of wear. The seller states in the ad that the GT has a McIntosh audio system with subwoofers.
