Next to the 380 PS VW Golf GTI Aurora The Volkswagen Group has yet another show car for the 38. GTI meeting brought to the Wörthersee. This vehicle is also in charge of the VW AZUBI team (this time from Zwickau) built and developed and will be presented to visitors alongside the GTI Aurora. Curtain up for the VW Golf Variant R 4MOTION FighteR (MK7) with which the apprentices from Saxony demonstrate their skills. The all-wheel drive variant is pushed by a 295 kW / 400 PS TSI engine with 7-speed double gearbox and thus has an impressive 100 PS more than a standard Golf R Variant. And you can see and hear that on "FighteR". There are 3 cm wider wheel arches on each side at the front and rear, chic forged rims in black, and yet the cooperation between trainees from Zwickau, the Chemnitz engine plant and the transparent factory in Dresden has not made the R look excessive.

Reason: the Golf Variant R 4MOTION FighteR should actually be used. And if you are just wondering how the soundscape of the 2-liter turbo comes about: The "FighteR" is built into the PROVOCATEUR sports exhaust system by Special Concepts which is crafted by hand and has a flap function.
