The V3 coilover kit, specially developed for the VW ID. RWD Buzz is now available for purchase. This chassis, made of stainless steel in Germany, enables individual adjustment options for the damping in compression and rebound as well as for the depth. According to the parts certificate, the height of the VW ID. Buzz can be reduced by 25 to 45 millimeters on the front axle and by 15 to 35 millimeters on the drive axle. The recommended retail price for the V3 coilover suspension is 2.699 €. "At the Essen Motor Show 2022 we presented the prototype", says Florian Johann, brand manager at KW. "The chassis is now available with a parts certificate and can be purchased from our authorized KW dealers or directly from us."

In contrast to conventional sport and coilover kits, KW not only uses spring struts and damper housings made of stainless steel for its V3, but also first-class multi-valve damper technology. The KW V3 has separate, manually adjustable compression and rebound valves, each consisting of a high-speed and low-speed valve.

Due to the lower center of gravity after installing the KW V3 coilover kit - continuously adjustable lowering from 25 to 45 millimeters on the front axle and 15 to 35 millimeters on the rear axle - the electric bus increases its driving dynamics through the KW multi-valve technology without sacrificing driving comfort. "In our custom production, we set the valves to our recommended base setup for the VW ID. buzz on", explains Florian Johann, brand manager at KW. After installing the chassis, the high-speed valves can no longer be adjusted individually, but the low-speed valves can still be adjusted by hand for more driving dynamics or driving comfort.

soon: the BBS CI-R Unlimited alloy wheels

Anyone in the VW ID. Buzz wants to achieve even more direct handling with the KW V3 coilover kit, can increase the preset low-speed rebound stage setup by reducing the valve cross-section. If, on the other hand, the valve is opened further, the rolling comfort increases. A total of 16 click levels are available directly on the chassis for this purpose. Regardless of this, the low-speed compression forces can be adjusted in twelve click stages. The compression stage influences, among other things, how tightly or loosely the wheels compress.

At the moment, the KW coilover kit is only available for models with a short wheelbase and rear-wheel drive. For the VW ID. Buzz Cargo, the all-wheel drive variants and models with a long wheelbase are still in development. And the BBS CI-R Unlimited alloy wheels for the ID. buzz be available. The press photos show them in indigo blue in the sizes 9,5×21 inches and 10,5×21 inches with Michelin Pilot Sport tires in the dimensions 235/45 R21 & 265/40 R21.
