Mercedes C-Class: KW V3 coilover kit for Limo & T-Model!

The KW V3 coilover kit has now been released for the current Mercedes-Benz sedan and the T-model of the C-Class. As with the previous models, the popular Mercedes-Benz mid-range model of the 206 series benefits in terms of handling from the multi-valve damper technology used by KW. The chassis manufacturer also developed these for the limited Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series models and adapted them for the C-Class sedan (W206) and the station wagon (S206). With the KW V3 coilover kit, the sedan and station wagon (T-model) have a sporty chassis design in which dynamic driving comfort is not neglected thanks to the KW multi-valve technology. The preset damper setup can be manually adjusted separately in the driving dynamics parameters of the compression and rebound stage.

Furthermore, the made of stainless steel allows KW suspension stepless lowering from 20 to 45 millimeters on both axles. The KW V2.580 coilover kit is available from €3 for all Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedans (W206) with hybrid engines and station wagons (S206) with rear-wheel drive and conventional petrol and diesel engines. Various KW coilovers are already being developed for the other C-Class T-models with hybrid engine, all-wheel drive (4MATIC) and the AMG versions.

Many automobile enthusiasts have been equipping this for years KW V3 coilover suspension after. Many Mercedes-Benz drivers also like to use the suspension with adjustable compression and rebound stages. After all, the standard chassis developed and manufactured by KW for the AMG Black Series models is also based on this technology. "With a chassis, one of the tasks of the compression stage is to support the body structure and to control the deflection of the spring and the damper," explains KW Brand Manager Florian Johann.

"But with our KW V3 chassis, our customers can influence their personal preferences in the chassis tuning and lowering if they wish." Depending on the setting, the rolling movements of the body structure and the steering behavior can also be influenced via the compression stage. While with the KW V3 the compression forces in the low-speed range of the piston rod speed can be individually adjusted with twelve click levels; the high-speed compression valves, which are responsible for driving comfort, are preconfigured specifically for the vehicle.

“The highlight of the V3 is that even with a maximum lowering and a brisk drive over bad roads, the sedan or estate continues to drive harmoniously. At high vertical wheel accelerations due to bumps in the road V3 the high-speed compression valves, the wheels compress and the tires always have the maximum contact surface on the road.” Regardless of the compression, the V3’s rebound forces can also be further adjusted in the low-speed range. The setting is made directly on the piston rod with 16 precise clicks.

When the rebound stage is closed, the handling is significantly more direct and sporty; when the valves are open, driving behavior is more comfortable. Similar to the compression stage, the rebound stage is also constructed with low- and high-speed valves; so that the volume flows only flow through the "high-speed main valve" when the rebound forces are high. With the KW V3 coilover kit, a Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan (W206) and a station wagon (S206) drive much more sportily and harmoniously than with ordinary sports suspension kits.

In addition to the gain in driving dynamics and driving comfort, this is convincing KW V3 coilover suspension in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class thanks to its high-quality workmanship. KW automotive manufactures the chassis made of stainless steel to order at its main plant in Baden-Württemberg. Automobile enthusiasts choose their high-quality workmanship.

Connection guarantee of three years

For example, KW grants a three-year extended warranty when purchasing and professionally installing a KW coilover suspension kit from its certified KW retail partners. The KW V2.580 coilover kit is available from €3 for all Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedans (W206) with hybrid engines and from €2.646 for all Mercedes-Benz C-Class T models (S206) with rear-wheel drive and conventional petrol and diesel engines . The parts certificate covers a continuous lowering range from 20 to 45 millimeters on the front and rear axles. Various KW coilovers are already being developed for the other C-Class T-models with hybrid engine, all-wheel drive (4MATIC) and the AMG versions.
