As an alternative to the two 3.0 TDI units with 231 PS and 500 Nm as well as 286 PS and 600 Nm, the new V8 should meet with great interest. And the diesel engine with a displacement of 4 liters is currently the most powerful unit in the VW Group. The engine is joined by an eight-speed automatic and is of course classified according to Euro 6d-Temp. The sprint to 100 km / h in the V8 diesel Touareg only takes 4,9 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h. The factory equipment of the V8 TDI includes leather upholstery with comfort seats, the digital Innovision cockpit, adjustable air suspension, an electric tailgate, stainless steel pedals and 19-inch alloy wheels. And there is also a V6 TSI engine with 340 PS & 450 Nm for the Touareg. It goes to 5,9 km / h in 100 seconds and also reaches a top speed of 250 km / h.
