Suzuki is expanding its motorcycle portfolio and is presenting the new V-Strom 2023 in two versions for 1050. In addition to the V-Strom 1050 designed for the road, the V-Strom 1050DE (Dual Explorer) is also available for the first time as an off-road-optimized variant, which comes with a 21-inch front wheel and other segment-specific innovations.

Tradition lives on: 20 years of V-Strom

  • The fourth generation of the V-Strom contains extensive innovations
  • V-Strom 1050DE ready for unpaved terrain
  • V-Strom 1050 for road-oriented touring
  • 5-inch TFT color display and bidirectional quick shifter as standard
  • Available from all Suzuki dealerships from spring 2023

Since the introduction of the V-Strom 20 years ago, more than 100.000 units of the adventure bike have been sold worldwide, which has always known to impress with its high quality of workmanship and a powerful V2 engine. For the 20th anniversary, Suzuki is now launching the fourth generation of the V-Strom, taking the unique driving experience to the next level.

Developed under the motto "Master of Adventure", the V-Strom models are excellent companions for every adventure. This applies equally to long-distance tours on the road or, more recently, to detours off the asphalt. Suzuki offers the individually right package for every application, which can be further optimized with an extensive range of original accessories.

V-strom 1050DE

The V-Strom 1050DE is aimed at customers whose thirst for adventure goes beyond paved roads. Key features are the special spoked wheels, off-road tires and the 21-inch front wheel. In addition, the V-Strom 1050DE offers greater spring deflection, more ground clearance and, thanks to a swing arm that has been reinforced at important points, also a longer wheelbase for optimum traction and confident off-road use. The new switchable Gravel mode is particularly noteworthy. In Gravel mode, the traction control allows a higher slip on the rear axle and also gives the option to deactivate the ABS on the rear axle.

In addition, the Dual Explorer comes standard with wider handlebars, steel footrests, and an engine protection bar with firmly bolted aluminum underride protection. A shorter tinted windshield also enhances the overall picture. The new Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE is available in three colors: yellow-silver, blue-white and black, starting at EUR 15.800 (RRP Suzuki Deutschland GmbH). The colors of the wheels and seats are coordinated with the respective model color.

The standard version of the V-Strom 1050 has been further optimized for long-distance use on paved roads. The most important new features include the cast aluminum wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear. In addition, it already impresses as standard with a large, height-adjustable touring screen, aluminum footrests, a height-adjustable seat and is also optically upgraded with the new front spoiler. The new Suzuki V-Strom 1050 is also available in three color variants with matching rim colors: in black, grey-black and blue-black. The suggested retail price from Suzuki Deutschland GmbH is EUR 15.000. Both V-Strom models have a 5-inch color TFT display, the bidirectional quick shifter and the assistance systems Suzuki Intelligent Ride Systems (SIRS).

“The V-Strom has been an important part of our model range for 20 years and is now indispensable in the adventure bike segment. Suzuki has successfully transferred the design that has shaped the segment since the original market launch of the DR-BIG. We are very pleased that we can offer a real upgrade in this important segment with the two new V-Strom 1050 models. With reliable V2 power, we offer all future customers extensive standard equipment at a highly attractive price-performance ratio. Our numerous trading partners are happy to help anyone who is interested,” says Christian Vossen, General Manager Sales & Marketing, Suzuki Deutschland GmbH. Both adventure bikes will be available in Germany from spring 2023. Pre-orders are now being accepted from all Suzuki dealerships in Germany.
