Effects of the increase in the CO₂ tax on fuel prices!

At the beginning of 2022, the CO₂ tax became more expensive. The price per ton of CO₂ is for 5 € gone up. Now, instead of € 25, you have to pay € 30 per tonne of carbon dioxide emitted. This tax increase will of course have a direct impact on the Fuel prices out. However, the price increases not that high like last year. The ADAC z. B. expects that the price of petrol and diesel will increase by about one and a half cents raise. The tax was introduced to reduce CO₂ emissions and thus protect the climate. In return, the surcharge for financing the green electricity (EEG surcharge) was reduced by around 40% to 3,723 cents per kilowatt hour for the new year. However, this results in a falling electricity price not to be expected. The EEG surcharge is only one of several components of the electricity price and when purchasing electricity, suppliers have to pay more today than at the beginning of last year.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
