A spoiler is an attachment on a car or truck whose main task is to improve the vehicle flow (for the purpose). A deterioration can also represent an improvement for the intended use. A spoiler is only covered by air on one side, the spoiler disrupts the air flow and thus achieves the effect of, for example, “pushing” a car closer to the road. The main task is to guide the air accordingly. It can only fully perform its function in connection with the complete car.
