According to the latest study, more powerful diesel pickups with large-displacement engines are probably a much greater threat to the environment than originally thought. As "The Drive“Reported a recent study by the Office of Civil Enforcement of the Environmental Protection Agency found out that modified diesel pickups have had a massive impact on air quality in America. Based on the EPA study, an estimated 500.000 tuned diesel trucks produced as much emissions as 9 million (!!!) Series vehicles. The report goes on to say: "The tuned trucks emit more than 570.000 tons of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and 5.000 tons of fine dust (PM) over the entire service life of the vehicles."
Rolling Coal REALLY in focus
These numbers show the extent of the trend in "Rolling Coal“- conversions that urgently have to stop in order not to unnecessarily deteriorate the air quality. While we find a lot of things really cool about tuning, this trend is an absolute one No-go. Deliberately harming the environment so badly for no sense or purpose must be pursued with all determination! According to the EPA study "modern diesel pickups produce only about 0,2 grams of NOx per mile driven compared to about that 50 times the amount that was standard in the 1980s.“Rolling Coal vehicles are way above that. Is this kind of "tuning" worthwhile if you do permanent damage to nature, yourself and others? Definitely not!
Of course that had not happened yet!
