No, this is not a rendering! This is actually a real vehicle. This gorgeous Camaro was on display for attendees at the 2023 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California, and the one-off was created by the vehicle designer SeanSmith. And Smith is certainly no stranger to the industry. He's been on projects with Saleen Automotive, Rockstar Games, Rescue, Ringbrothers or SpeedKore known and has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. And it is exactly this experience that you can now see on the “Fenix”. The vehicle was commissioned by Michael Shields, who wanted a customized 1969 Chevrolet Camaro based on a similar Smith-designed Camaro unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show.
Camaro Restomod "Fenix"
The result is a 1.180 hp (868 kW) Chevrolet Camaro, nicknamed "Fenix", which not only combines luxury and elegance, but is more powerful than a Bugatti Veyron. The team led by Mikey Dascoli from Driven Speed Shop worked virtually with Smith in advance to bring the planned project to fruition. Finished in a beautiful silver with Liquid Champagne and Satin Charcoal Gray accents, the vehicle presents itself as a timeless vehicle that is guaranteed to draw everyone's attention. The front end has been completely redesigned, with a completely new front apron even being made. The rear end features a custom LED light bar as well as a 3D printed rear spoiler stocked. In general, the body has been extensively revised and it is also installed on a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis.
The Fenix Camaro's Roadster Shop frame is made of 10-gauge steel and the chassis uses RS Fast Track front suspension and behind the new rims is a six-piston Baersports brake system with 14 inch (approx. 36 cm) brake discs all around. In order to bring the performance to the road, 18 × 9 inch rims at the front and 19 × 12 inch aluminum at the rear of the type HRE RS103 with 255/35 & 325/30 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires are mounted. And then there's the engine! Specifically, it's a supercharged 427 LS7 V8 from Wegner Motorsports that's mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed transmission. The engine compartment is from Driven Speed Shop cleared and the paint comes from Kandy Shop Creations in Mesa, Arizona.

The tuning is rounded off with a custom interior inspired by European sports cars and designed by Smith himself. Parts such as the dashboard, door panels and center console are precisely manufactured from 3D CAD files. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
