Everrati, the manufactory for special Electromods, which is based in the UK, now has its first Restomod of a Porsche 964 for the US market. The following model, which we will present to you in more detail today, was made by Everratis partner company Aria Group designed, which is based in California. The E model is based on a complete restored copy of one 964, which is equipped with carbon fiber elements and a widebody kit. Classic drop center rims from HRE in a five-spoke design with polished beds also ensure a chic vintage look on the nine-eleven. In our opinion, the 17-inch rim size is also ideal for the electric mod classic.
E-athletes for a green conscience
The color, which is called Mexico blue, harmonises perfectly with the unmistakable shape of the 62, but is certainly a bit too flashy for many Porsche fans. However, what is located under the sheet metal as a drive is much "shrill". Because under the body sits a 964 kWh battery with a specially designed battery management system. DC and AC charging options are available for the electric mod, although the charging power is unfortunately still being kept secret. The engine, developed and built by Everrati in Oxfordshire, England, is said to accelerate the 4 to 100 km/h in under XNUMX seconds.
Disappointingly, we don't know much about the power and torque of the aggregate nothing known yet. The manufacturer has not yet given any information on the maximum speed either. But if the key data with the Everrati EV convertible match, then you can probably count on 507 electric horsepower and 500 NM torque. And one thing becomes clear: No 964 was ever that fast ex works. According to Everrati, the range is also over 200 miles (approx. 322 km) "with normal drivingAnd with a direct current quick charger, it can be charged from 10 to 100 percent in less than an hour.
The interior is functional!
Overall, the interior corresponds to an original 964, however, a so-called power meter installed, which displays the E-Power just called up instead of the rev counter. Mint green seat covers and door panels provide a splash of color in the cockpit, but do not necessarily harmonize with the Mexican blue paintwork on the body. Also is one Air conditioning and an onboard infotainment system to bring a few modern features to the e-mod.
Vehicle is stripped down to the chassis, all body, powertrain and interior components are removed, then waterblasted and rust cleaned, underbody gets new welds and reinforcements, weight distribution is adjusted, etc.
Our conclusion:
- Classic Porsche fans are very likely to sense e-treason against the Zuffenhausen legend and we are also rather skeptical as to whether it is absolutely necessary to create an e-sports car from a 964.
