Pay parking fees throughout Europe: ŠKODA launches the Pay to Park service!

The new ŠKODA Connect1 service Pay to Park is now making parking easier in various European countries: ŠKODA customers can use the MyŠKODA app or the infotainment system to display parking options, view costs and pay conveniently. After the pilot phase in Switzerland, the service is now also available in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Norway. At the same time, ŠKODA is expanding the service, with eight more countries to follow shortly. Martin Jahn, ŠKODA AUTO Board Member for Sales and Marketing, emphasizes: “With the new ŠKODA Connect feature Pay to Park, our customers can now find free parking spaces across Europe even faster and pay conveniently online via our MyŠKODA app or the infotainment system.”

Further expansion planned

  • Service allows parking fees to be paid via the MyŠKODA app or the infotainment system in the vehicle
  • Following the pilot phase in Switzerland, the service is now available in seven European countries, expansion to eight additional European markets is planned
  • Cooperation with international connected car service provider Parkopedia

After a successful pilot phase, ŠKODA AUTO is initially introducing Pay to Park in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Norway. France, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden will soon follow another eight countries before ŠKODA rolls out the service in other European countries in 2023. Available via the infotainment system in the vehicle as well as on the mobile phone! Customers can use the service via the MyŠKODA app on their smartphone or via the current Amundsen and Columbus infotainment systems. The in-car app is now available for the FABIA, KAMIQ, SCALA, OCTAVIA, KAROQ, SUPERB and KODIAQ model series.

Easy registration

The prerequisite for using Pay to Park is an active ŠKODA Connect account and activated remote vehicle access. As soon as the payment data is stored in the MyŠKODA app and the service is activated, it can also be used immediately on the infotainment system and shows which parking spaces can be used for online payment. Arriving at the parking lot, the driver can select the parking time and, if necessary, extend it via the app. Payment is made online after the end of the parking process. Photo credit: Škoda
