Like his predecessor BMW Z3 (E36 / 8) Coupe the Z4 Coupe of the E86 type certainly did not come onto the market as usual or even according to the norm. Sharp edges and distinctive lines change their directions in a rather spacey way and give the Z4 its dynamic silhouette. And we have now discovered just such a specimen as the ACS4 Z4 Coupe from AC Schnitzer, the predecessor of the ACS4 based on the E89 is. The basis is a 265 PS & 315 NM strong 3.0i with N52 six-cylinder in-line engine. And it is precisely this engine that has been revised by AC Schnitzer and, thanks to Schnitzer chip tuning software and some changes to the hardware, now delivers an impressive 290 hp, moving somewhat in the direction of the Z4M with S54B32 engine and 343 hp.
Optically, also a lot of AC Schnitzer can be seen and so comes the Z4 with a sporty approach to the bumper, distinctive side skirts, a modified rear apron including carbon diffuser and a large multi-part rear spoiler. The rear apron includes a stainless steel sports exhaust system with 4 tailpipes including Schnitzer lettering and further there were turn signals with chrome-gill fender inserts and of course a chic wheelset. The snow-white AC Schnitzer ACS4 Z4 Sport Coupe wears a dark gray AC Schnitzer Type IV wheel set in 19 inches, which sits perfectly in the wheel arch thanks to lowering.
