After we had one in April E30 M3 with an E46 S54 engine have presented, now comes another. This time it is a blue copy from 1988. It comes from Richmond (Virginia / USA) and is currently being auctioned. And the first M3 generation of the type E30 is also loved in the USA. Many vehicles on the used car market are in series condition and therefore particularly expensive, but some have also been converted. And that also applies to this model. However, the changes relate largely to the engine and the interior. The factory S14 four-cylinder quickly flew out and was replaced by the 3,2-liter S54 six-cylinder vacuum cleaner from the E46 M3, Z3 M and Z4 M. There was also a new water pump, alternator, power steering, drive belt, belt tensioner, thermostat, thermostat housing, valve cover seals and even the exhaust manifold gasket were replaced by new ones. A ZF five-speed manual transmission with a new flywheel, new clutch and new shift bushings hangs on the engine. And the entire body including the engine compartment has been repainted, which ensures that the M3 is in an absolutely immaculate condition.
And that applies not only to the body, but also to the cabin. The interior has been extensively changed and now shows new Recaro sports seats with Alcantara upholstery and blue contrast stitching, there is also an accessory gear lever and the small sports steering wheel is covered with every Alcantara. The door panels are made entirely of carbon and have only installed a closing aid and a simple window crank. The M3 is currently on bring a trailer sold and he even has a very special history. The E30 was reported stolen in December 1991 and found almost exactly a year later in 1992. The complete history seems to be documented with various documents and is therefore completely understandable.
