Then the new Adria Mode based on the Citroën Spacetourer could be just the thing. The camper not only has enough space for the whole family, but also impresses with its modular design and great flexibility. With a length of 4,99 meters and a height of less than 2 meters, the Spacetourer is also pleasantly compact and therefore ideal for everyday use. And it cuts a particularly good figure as a camper: the vehicle can be converted into a fully-fledged camper van for up to four people in just one hour.

The Adria Mode has space for up to eight people and comes standard with a 145 hp diesel engine - but there is also an optional 180 hp version. You can choose between a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes a touchscreen radio (without navigation system), 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, four airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, a rear-view camera and a cruise control and speed limiter.
Modular structure for maximum flexibility
The Adria Mode is primarily interesting because of its modular structure. In the second and third row of seats there are benches for two and one single seat. Thanks to the built-in rail system, each part can be removed individually, which is particularly practical if you need space inside for your surfboards. The Adria Mode also adheres to tried-and-tested principles when it comes to sleeping space: the bench seats in the rear become a double bed, and the pop-up roof creates two more beds. Dimmable LED ambient lighting and 12-volt USB ports are included in the standard package, and you can order additional camping modules for even more camping comfort.
Enhancements for the camper lifestyle
These include a storage and kitchen box set with a 26 liter compressor fridge and a sink unit that holds 15 liters of fresh water, includes a sink and a pull-out shower handle. There is also an induction cooker on board, which is stowed in the rear on the driver's side. And there are various textile bags for clothing that can be attached to different places in the vehicle. An optional rear tent provides additional living space or a shower room under the tailgate. It is noteworthy that the on-board technology is also modular. This includes, for example, a box with a Porta Potti camping toilet, but an awning and a diesel heater are optional extras. Even the topic of electricity is modular: the external connection for 230 volt electricity is already available, as is the storage space for a 100 Ah battery, but the on-board battery must be ordered separately.
Price still unknown, but the concept is convincing
So far, Adria has not given any price information for the base price or the equipment options of the new campervan. But the concept of the Adria Mode is obvious: A vehicle that can be used flexibly both on vacation and in everyday life and can be individually adapted to the needs of the user. It's not the first time such a system has appeared on the market, but it's clear that the Adria Mode's success will ultimately depend on price. If the basic price and the cost of each camping module are attractive to the target group looking for a 2-in-1 vehicle, the Adria Mode could become the new star among campervans.
